St-Pierre-Jolys RCMP are reporting that a male suspect has been arrested in connection to the recent death of an elderly woman at a residence located in the Rural Municipality of Hanover.
On October 27, 2021 at approximately 12:40pm, St-Pierre-Jolys RCMP were dispatched to a residence in the RM of Hanover. Upon arrival at the scene, a 73-year-old woman was located deceased at the residence.
Police say that a male suspect was identified in connection to this incident and arrested a short time later by Winnipeg Police Service. The arrest took place in the City of Winnipeg.
RCMP report that the victim and suspect were known to each other.
The investigation into this incident continues with assistance of RCMP Major Crime Services and RCMP Forensic Identification Services.
