Portage la Prairie RCMP have arrested two individuals connected to a recent armed robbery incident that occurred in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba.

On March 11, 2017, at 4:24 am, Portage la Prairie RCMP spotted a vehicle believed to be involved in a recent armed robbery that occurred on March 9. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, it fled, and one of the 14-year-old male youths involved in the robbery escaped on foot.

RCMP stopped the vehicle a short distance later. Occupants in the vehicle included 18-year-old Justice Marie Daniels and the other 14-year-old male youth involved in the armed robbery. Of the remaining occupants of the vehicle, two were female youths and the last was 18-year-old Nathan Rusty Wolfe.

Police say that weapons were found inside the vehicle, including the machete believed to have been used in the armed robbery.

RCMP report that both Daniels and Wolfe were charged with possession of property obtained by crime, possession of weapons for a dangerous purpose as well as failing to comply with court-imposed conditions. Daniels and Wolfe were remanded in custody.

Investigators are still looking for the second 14-year-old male and 19-year-old Myles Dean Asham.
