Stonewall RCMP are reporting that a 22-year-old man from the Rural Municipality of Rockwood was arrested and is facing charges related to a recent break and enter incident that occurred in the local area.
On March 16, 2022, at approximately 7am, Stonewall RCMP responded to a break and enter at a business located on Road 78 North in the RM of Rockwood. Surveillance video showed that the break-in occurred around midnight.
The incident resulted in a service truck and front-end loader being stolen. Officers noted that the front-end loader was located down the road from the business, along with a damaged side by side.
Police say that the service truck was still on the property but was stuck in the snow in a gravel pit. When officers approached the truck, they noticed that it was running with what appeared to be a man sleeping inside. The male suspect was subsequently arrested without incident.
RCMP report that a 22-year-old RM of Rockwood man is now facing charges of break and enter, possession of property obtained by crime and possession of break-in instruments. He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court later in June.
