The Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba (IIU) is investigating a motor vehicle collision that took place on August 24, 2022, in Brandon.
On August 29, Brandon Police Service (BPS) notified the IIU of an incident that occurred on August 24 around 12:44 a.m. According to the notification, an accident occurred at the intersection of 26th Street and Park Avenue involving a police vehicle and a civilian vehicle.
The IIU civilian director has determined it is in the public interest for the IIU to investigate.
