Morris RCMP are currently investigating the death of a 78-year-old Winnipeg man after finding the victim near his vehicle on Provincial Road 246, near Road 13N, in the Rural Municipality of Montcalm.
On March 23, 2023, at approximately 8:15am, Morris RCMP received a report of a body that had been located near a vehicle stuck in the snow on Provincial Road 246. Police attended the scene and located the body of a 78-year-old male, from Winnipeg, near the vehicle.
RCMP report that the cause of death has yet to be determined, but there are indications the male victim may have succumbed to the elements when he wandered away from his vehicle after becoming stuck in the snow.
Morris RCMP, along with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, continue to investigate this incident.
