Steinbach RCMP are reporting that a 20-year-old Steinbach man was recently arrested and charged after committing numerous offences while driving his motorcycle.
On May 20, 2023, during the evening hours, Steinbach RCMP were patrolling the community and observed a red Honda motorcycle driving recklessly and making excessive noise.
Police say that a traffic stop on the motorcycle was attempted, but the rider evaded police on multiple occasions. Officers noted that the suspect was eventually apprehended.
RCMP report that a 20-year-old Steinbach man was arrested and charged for flight from police and was also served numerous HTA tickets including making unnecessary noise, driving carelessly and driving while disqualified. The suspect was eventually released on an Appearance Notice.
The motorcycle was subsequently impounded for 30 days and served a Serious Offence Notice for further license review by MPI.
Steinbach RCMP also issued numerous HTA tickets throughout the night for making unnecessary noise and disobeying traffic lights.
