Steinbach RCMP are reporting that they responded to 59 calls for service this past weekend. One of the incidents resulted in heavy fines for street racing.
Police say that on June 9, 2023, at approximately 11:23 pm, one female youth and one male youth were both charged for speeding and racing with another motor vehicle.
RCMP report that both vehicles in this incident have been impounded for seven days as well, both received a seven day suspension of their driver’s licence.
Officers noted that the total cost for both offences was $984.
