The City of Steinbach is once again offering local residents the option of bringing compostable items to one of two community compost depots to be held every Saturday from May 13 until October 21, 2017.
The depots will be located at Woodlawn School (411 Henry Street) and Stonybrook Middle School by the track (77 Lumber Avenue), and will be available every Saturday from 9am to 3pm during the scheduled dates.
Residents are encouraged to use compostable yard waste bags, as well, the City is offering the following composting guidelines:
What to compost:
- vegetables & fruit (fresh, cooked, canned)
- coffee grounds / filters
- tea leaves / bags
