The City of Steinbach is informing residents that two-way traffic on a portion of Loewen Boulevard, between Home Street North and Henry Street, will be closed throughout the day on Friday, April 12, starting at 8:30am. The closure is due to ongoing work being done at the lift station.
City officials say that westbound traffic will be directed to use detour routes through Henry Street or Heritage Parkway to access PTH 12 North. Following the road closure on Friday, the eastbound lane will remain closed. Street parking will remain unavailable and the walkway crossing Loewen Boulevard at Henry Street will remain open as work continues in the area.
The City thanks motorists and pedestrians in advance for following all posted signage, exercising caution, and reducing speed in the area.
