Manitoba RCMP are reporting that two individuals have been arrested and charged in connection to a recently discovered illegal cannabis distribution center located in Flin Flon, Manitoba.
As a result of an ongoing investigation into the illegal operation of a cannabis store out of a personal residence, RCMP officers from the Manitoba North District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team (CREST) and the Flin Flon RCMP recently executed a search warrant pursuant to the Cannabis Act at a residence located on Princess Boulevard in Flin Flon.
As a result of the search, officers seized over $430,000 of product, including a large quantity of dried cannabis, over $90,000 in cash, thousands of individually packaged cannabis gummies, hundreds of cannabis infused chocolate bars, hundreds of vials of shatter, cannabis extracts, resins and other cannabis derivates, multiple pounds of psilocybin and 25 firearms.
Police say that all cannabis products seized onsite did not contain the proper Manitoba Taxation stamps.
RCMP report that a 42-year-old male and a 23-year-old female were arrested on scene. The individuals were later released from police custody for a future court date in Flin Flon where they will face numerous charges related to this incident, including possession for the purpose of trafficking.
