Selkirk RCMP are reporting that a 27-year-old Selkirk man has been arrested and charged in connection to five armed robbery incidents that occurred during the summer months of 2023.
Police say that between August 31 and September 15, 2023, five armed robberies occurred at two businesses located in Selkirk, Manitoba. In each incident, a male suspect entered the business with his face covered, produced a knife and demanded money.
A thorough investigation was undertaken by the Selkirk RCMP General Investigation Section. Investigation included obtaining witnesses statements, viewing video surveillance, following up on tips and sending items to the lab for analysis.
After a lengthy investigation, officers were able to identify the suspect responsible for all five robberies and he was arrested on July 27, 2024, without incident.
RCMP report that 27-year-old Dylan Rogers, of Selkirk, has been charged with robbery with a weapon, disguised with intent to commit an offence, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and uttering threats. Rogers was remanded into custody.
