A 32-year-old Somerset man has recently died after he was struck by a vehicle on Highway 3, approximately three kilometres east of Morden in the Rural Municipality of Stanley.
On September 24, 2024, at 9:40pm, Pembina Valley RCMP responded to a report of a male walking in the middle of Highway 3. The man was at a location near Road 25 West.
Police say that as officers were responding to the scene, an update was received that the individual, a 32-year-old Somerset man, had been struck by an eastbound vehicle. Officers arrived on scene and located the male who was pronounced deceased on scene.
RCMP report that the driver of the eastbound vehicle, a 17-year-old male from Winkler, was not physically injured.
