A slew of stolen property, including ATVs, golf carts, snowmobiles and more, was recently recovered by RCMP after receiving a tip regarding the location of the stolen items.

Hamiota RCMP, along with assistance from the Manitoba West District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team (CREST), recently received information that a 2024 Polaris side-by-side, reported stolen from a cottage out at Sandy Lake, may be at a residence located on Keeseekoowenin First Nation.

Police investigation led to the execution of a search warrant at the suspect property, which resulted in officers recovering the stolen side-by-side with trailer.

Newly obtained information regarding more stolen property then led members to another home located on Keeseekoowenin First Nation. A search of the second property resulted in the additional recovery of four golf carts, two snowmobiles, two off-road vehicles, one trailer and six firearms.

RCMP report that a 25-year-old male, from Keeseekoowenin First Nation, was arrested at the second location and later released for a future court appearance in Minnedosa Provincial Court.
