St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP are reporting that a 44-year-old New Bothwell woman has died after being involved in a head-on collision on Highway 59 in the Rural Municipality of Ritchot.

On October 1, 2024, at approximately 6:30am, St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 59, near Stott Road.

Police investigation determined that a southbound vehicle, being driven by a 44-year-old female from New Bothwell, crossed over the center line and collided head-on with a northbound vehicle, being driven by a 52-year-old male from new Bothwell.

RCMP report that the 44-year-old female driver was pronounced deceased on scene. The 52-year-old male was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP, along with an RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist, continue to investigate this incident.
