Stonewall RCMP are reporting that a 36-year-old Teulon man has died as the result of a recent two-vehicle collision that occurred near Stony Mountain, Manitoba.
On October 15, 2024, at approximately 5:25pm, Stonewall RCMP received a report of a SUV traveling north in the southbound lane of Highway 7 at Stony Mountain. Police soon after learned that a an SUV had collided with a pickup truck, about half a kilometer north of Road 73 North.
A Stonewall RCMP officer responded to the report and was on scene in under five minutes. Once on scene, the officer located the SUV which was on fire. The officer subsequently discovered that the driver, and lone occupant, was deceased.
Police say that the driver, and lone occupant of the pickup, a 36-year-old Teulon man, was removed from the vehicle. Officers provided CPR, but the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.
An RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist attended the scene and is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
