A 24-year-old man is in critical condition after his SUV was involved in a single vehicle collision on the Trans Canada Highway near Lorette, MB.
On June 9, 2017, at approximately 12:38am, Steinbach RCMP responded to a single motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 1 and PR 501.
Police say that the lone occupant/driver of the vehicle, a Volkswagen Touareg, was located trapped under the roof. RM of Tache Fire Department were able to extricate the driver, a 24-year-old male, and then transport him to hospital via STARS.
RCMP report that the driver suffered multiple injuries as a result of the collision and remains in critical condition. It is believed that alcohol may have been a factor in the collision.
The investigation is ongoing.
