A 30-year-old Winnipeg woman has died as the result of a seven vehicle collision that occurred near Fermor Road. The incident occurred during severe weather this past Friday.
On January 17, 2025, at approximately 9:45am, Oakbank RCMP responded to a report of a multi-vehicle collision that had occurred near Fermor Road and Symington Road.
When RCMP arrived, Springfield Fire and Rescue, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service and Emergency Medical Services personnel were already on scene treating the injured.
Police say that a total of seven vehicles were involved in the collision.
RCMP report that a 30-year-old female driver of one of the vehicles, from Winnipeg, was pronounced deceased on scene. Officers believe she was struck by another vehicle when she exited her own. No other serious injuries were reported.
Oakbank RCMP, along with a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist, continue to investigate this incident.
