Selkirk RCMP are reporting that a male and female suspect were recently arrested and charged after a quantity of drugs and weapons were seized from a residence located in the community.
As part of an ongoing investigation, Selkirk RCMP, along with officers from the Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team (CREST), executed a search warrant at a residence located on Eveline Street.
Police say that two occupants of the residence, one male and one female, were at home when officers arrived and were arrested without incident.
As a result of the search, officers seized cash, bear spray, scales and packaging materials. Members also located and seized a quantity of drugs, including 8.3 grams of cocaine, 5.2 grams of meth, 3.3 grams of fentanyl, and 280 grams of a suspected cutting agent. The estimated street value of the seized drugs was over $2,600.
RCMP report that 29-year-old Justice Langlois from Winnipeg, and a 65-year-old female from Selkirk, were arrested and now face numerous drug and firearms related charge in connection to this incident.
