Dauphin RCMP are reporting that two suspects have recently been arrested and charged after officers responded to a report of a threat with a firearm.
On April 13, 2025, at approximately 2:45pm, Dauphin RCMP responded to a report of a someone being threatened with a firearm at a location on Ida Street. Officers responded immediately, and upon arrival, were informed that a 17-year-old male had fled the scene after pointing a firearm at a 23-year-old female.
Police began searching for the suspect and shortly after, located and arrested the male. Investigation also led to the arrest of a 16-year-old female.
Police say that after searching both suspects, the following items were located:
- 130.3 grams of meth – estimated community value of over $26,000
- 8.2 grams of cocaine and 5.5 grams of crack cocaine – estimated community value of $900
- 17 pills of Zopiclone – estimated community value of $350
- Canadian currency
Officers, along with Manitoba RCMP Police Dog Services (PDS) Marook, were unable to locate the firearm.
RCMP report that the 17-year-old male, from Ebb and Flow First Nation, is facing weapons and drug trafficking charges. The 16-year-old female, from Dauphin, is facing a drug trafficking charge.
