On June 24, 2017, just before 9:30am, Selkirk RCMP responded to a report of an armed robbery at a business located in Clandeboye, Manitoba.
Police say that a lone male suspect entered the business carrying a backpack, wearing a baseball cap and a neckwarmer over his face. The suspect then pointed a firearm at an employee and demanded all of the money in the till. When another employee entered the business, the suspect ran out the front door and a shot was fired from the firearm which was pointed at the floor. There were no injuries as a result of the incident, though an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen.
RCMP report that the suspect fled the scene, heading north on Highway 9, in an older model black unplated GMC pickup truck with lots of chrome and heavily tinted windows. RCMP from Selkirk, Gimli, Grand Marais and East St. Paul detachments covered the highways, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
