Steinbach RCMP are currently investigating two recent assault incidents which are believed to be related. One incident took place on Main Street, the other near Lumber Avenue and First Street.
On September 17, 2017, Steinbach RCMP responded to an assault outside of the Subway restaurant located on Main Street. Police say that a male was assaulted by another male individual wearing a black sweater and dark pants. Witnesses on scene stated that they did not recognize the suspect.
The suspect was reported to have fled down Main Street, running in an eastbound direction.
RCMP report that the victim of this incident was also assaulted one week prior on September 9, 2017 near Lumber Avenue and First Street in Steinbach. RCMP suspect that the two incidents are related.
