Project Devote investigators have more detailed information about the vehicle that 20-year-old Amber Rosemarie Guiboche got into the night she disappeared in 2010.
On the evening of November 10, 2010, Amber Guiboche, also known as Amber Gerard, was socializing with friends. She left a friend’s home on Bushnell Street in Winnipeg around 11:45pm and walked to the corner of Isabel Street and William Avenue where she was picked up by a man driving a burgundy pickup truck. Amber was never seen again.
Project Devote investigators are looking for a mid-90s burgundy Chevrolet Silverado, extended cab, short box with a 4×4 decal toward the rear of the box. The tailgate has the outline of the word “Chevrolet” across the tailgate. The truck was last seen traveling south on Isabel Street.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have seen or who knows anything about the truck or its driver to call the Project Devote Tipline at 1-888-673-3316 or call Manitoba CrimeStoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477. You can also submit a tip online at www.manitobacrimestoppers.com or text TIPMAN plus your message to CRIMES(274637).
Project Devote is the joint task force with the Winnipeg Police Service and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police that focuses on missing and murdered exploited persons’ investigations.
