On August 30, 2016 at approximately 5:30pm, Stonewall RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 7, approximately 3 kilometres north of Highway 67.
Initial police investigation suggests that a pickup truck traveling north veered into the southbound lane and collided head-on with a semi.
Police say that the adult female driver of the pickup was pronounced deceased at the scene while the male passenger was transported to hospital with unknown injuries. The driver of the semi-truck had no injuries.
RCMP report that alcohol is not believed to have been a contributing factor in this incident. Police continue to investigate.
