On May 19, 2018, at approximately 6am, Flin Flon RCMP responded to a call of a disturbance at a location on Bellevue Avenue in Flin Flon, Manitoba.
Upon arrival, officers determined that there was an altercation that resulted in two people being stabbed. The first victim, a 23-year-old female from Flin Flon, was transported to hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. The second victim, a 22-year-old female, also from Flin Flon, was transported to hospital in stable condition.
RCMP report that 23-year-old Faith Margaret Rose Linklater from Flin Flon has been charged with one count of second degree murder and one count of attempted murder. She is to appear in Provincial Court in The Pas on Tuesday, May 22.
The investigation is ongoing with assistance from the RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit and Forensic Identification Services.
