A two-year-old girl had died after being struck by a vehicle on her driveway at a location in the RM of La Broquerie, Manitoba.
On May 20, 2018, at approximately 7:50pm, Steinbach RCMP officers responded to a report of a collision in the RM of La Broquerie. Upon arrival, Emergency Medical Services personnel were already at the location providing medical assistance to a two-year-old female child. The child was later transported to hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
Initial police investigation has determined that the child was struck by a vehicle on her driveway. Police say that the vehicle was being driven by a 62-year-old man.
RCMP report that alcohol and speed are not considered factors in this incident. Police continue to investigate.
