The Manitoba government has expanded emergency medicine focused residency training at the University of Manitoba, increasing the number of annual training seats to 17 from 11, to help build a stronger pipeline of emergency physicians for communities across the province.

The governments of Canada and Manitoba are celebrating the 12th annual Farm and Food Awareness Week from Sept. 20 to 25, an opportunity for Manitobans to learn where their food comes from and recognize the work local producers do to bring safe, healthy food from farm to table.

Officers from the Emerson, Morris and St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP detachments, as well as the Integrated Border Enforcement Team from the RCMP’s Northwest Region Federal Policing, have arrested and charged a male suspect after he failed to stop at the Emerson port of entry.
