At approximately 2:30am on October 19, 2018, Thompson RCMP responded to a report of an injured male in the parking lot of a hotel located on Thompson Drive within the community.
Police say that upon arrival, officers located a male that had been shot and administered first-aid. The 30-year-old male from Lake Manitoba First Nation was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
RCMP believe that this was an isolated incident and that public safety is not at risk and that the investigation is ongoing.
