Portage la Prairie RCMP recently responded to a fatal semi truck rollover that occurred near Portage la Prairie, Manitoba.
On November 3, 2018, at approximately 1:20am, Portage la Prairie RCMP responded to a call of a semi rollover on Highway 1, near Portage la Prairie.
Police say that upon arrival, officers located an overturned semi in the median ditch just past the Portage la Prairie bridge by-pass. The driver of the vehicle, a 67-year-old East St. Paul man, was located partially ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased on scene.
RCMP report that the preliminary investigation has determined that the semi with trailer was traveling westbound and had just crossed the bridge when it went into the median ditch and rolled.
