Oakbank RCMP are asking the public for any information connected to a recent armed robbery incident that occurred at a RM of Springfield residence.
On August 29, 2016, Oakbank RCMP received a report of an armed robbery that occurred at a residence in the RM of Springfield, Manitoba. The victim attended the detachment to report the incident that had happened in his home.
Police say that on August 28, 2016, just before 11pm, four unknown masked males entered a residence through the open front door. A 40-year-old male victim was assaulted with a baseball bat and both the male victim and 39-year-old female resident were restrained while the robbery took place. The suspects stole an undisclosed amount of cash.
The victim provided police with footage from a home security system to help identify the four suspects. The first suspect is described as approximately 6′ tall. The second suspect is described as approximately 5’7″ tall, weighed 165 pounds and had light-coloured eyes. The third suspect is described as approximately 6’2″ tall with a heavy build. The fourth suspect is described as approximately 5’9″ tall. All suspects were wearing hoodies, masks and gloves.
