A three-year-old child has died after being struck by a vehicle on the driveway of a Stonewall residence.
On January 3, 2019, at approximately 1pm, Stonewall RCMP responded to collision involving a pedestrian on 1st Avenue North in Stonewall, Manitoba. Police say that a three-year-old girl was struck in the driveway of a local residence by a vehicle being driven by an adult male. The child was transported to local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
RCMP report that alcohol and speed are not considered factors in this collision at this time – charges are not expected to be laid.
An RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist is assisting Stonewall RCMP with the ongoing investigation.
