Steinbach’s T.G. Smith Centre will be a busy hockey hub from March 7-10 when Rogers Hometown Hockey rolls into town. Due to the anticipated amount of traffic, the City of Steinbach would like to inform residents and facility visitors of street closures and parking during this time.
Street Closures
- In effect from Thursday, March 7 at 5am to Monday, March 11 at 1am, Elmdale Street will be closed to through traffic from Reimer Avenue to Barkman Avenue. Entrance to the Steinbach Credit Union and T.G. Smith Centre will continue to be accessible via Reimer.
- Lumber Avenue will be closed to traffic from north of the Steinbach Credit Union parking lot access to Elmdale Street. Motorists will still be able to access the Steinbach Credit Union and Main Street back lane off of Lumber Avenue.
- All sidewalks will be open.
Parking
Parking is available at the following locations. Please adhere to all posted parking signs.

- Steinbach Credit Union
- Vacant City Lot
- Jake Epp Library
- MCC Store
The City notes that street parking is available around the T.G. Smith Centre with the possibility of two hour parking restrictions.
