The Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba (IIU) has concluded its investigation into the circumstances surrounding a theft that took place at a convenience store in Winkler.

The Manitoba Wildfire Service advises the province remains at a moderate to high fire danger level. Human activity, including arson, is contributing significantly to current wildfire conditions. As a result, critical firefighting resources are being diverted to respond to deliberately set fires, often in or near communities.

The Manitoba government has signed a contract with Shock Trauma Air Rescue Service (STARS) to continue emergency patient air transport to critically ill or injured Manitobans.
