Steinbach RCMP are currently investigating a number of recent break, enter and theft incidents that occurred at Paradise village, located off of the Trans Canada Highway near Ste. Anne, Manitoba.
Police say that on May 2, 2019, at approximately 5:15am, a female resident of Paradise Village was pepper sprayed when she let her dog out and was confronted by an unknown male suspect outside her residence. Police learned that the suspect(s) had gained entry into her garage and rummaged through the vehicle.
The suspect seen by the resident was described as being male, approximately 18 years of age, and aboriginal in appearance. It was reported that he drove off in a white Chevy truck followed by a red SUV that had been parked nearby.
Shortly after the initial report, police received five more complaints of break, enter and theft in the same area of Paradise Village. In most incidents, the suspect(s) entered the garage, rummaged through the vehicles – stealing garage door openers and other items.
RCMP noted that a 2005 Yamaha Scooter with Manitoba plate 5AY02 was stolen from one of the residences.
