On June 15, 2019 Steinbach RCMP responded to a rural location in the RM of La Broquerie after receiving a report that a disturbance had taken place.
Police say that a female victim reported being assaulted by an ex-boyfriend. As a result of the assault, the victim suffered a broken arm. Police noted that the male suspect fled prior to officers arriving at the scene.
RCMP report that on June 16, 2019 the male suspect was located and arrested without incident. The male has been charged with numerous offences including assault causing bodily harm, assault, uttering threats and mischief to property. The suspect is scheduled to appear in Steinbach court.
