Selkirk RCMP along with Major Crime Services have made an arrest in relation to the November 16, 2018, homicide of a 64-year-old man.
On November 16, 2018, at approximately 9:15 pm, Selkirk RCMP responded to a call of a 64-year-old male in cardiac arrest at a residence located in Selkirk. Officers attended and located the male who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
On June 20, 2019, RCMP arrested and charged 36-year-old Karl Harry Helbig of Selkirk with 2nd Degree Murder.
RCMP report that the investigation is ongoing.
