Kyle Nordick, an 18-year-old CHAMP and PLAYSAFE ambassador from Ste. Agathe, is delivering a message of safety to kids.
“PLAYSAFE, spot the danger before you play!” That’s the message Kyle Nordick, 18, of Ste. Agathe, has been delivering to kids along parade routes since he was a young child.
Kyle joined The War Amps float in the recent Corn and Apple Parade, in Morden, encouraging kids to be aware of the dangers in their play environments. Kyle, born a left arm amputee, is a member of The War Amps Child Amputee (CHAMP) Program. He is well qualified to pass on the PLAYSAFE message as he knows what it is like to live without a limb and has met children who have lost limbs in accidents.
