On November 5, 2016, just before 3am, Carberry RCMP responded to a report of a 31-year-old female being assaulted and abducted from a cabin near Carberry, Manitoba.
Police sent out a social media post on November 6, 2016, to ask for public and media assistance in locating the victim and the suspect. With the assistance of social media, RCMP safely located the female victim.
RCMP report that 28-year-old Travis Francis from Long Plain First Nation, Manitoba, is in custody and charges are pending.
