On November 6, 2016, at approximately 3:30pm, Morris and Emerson RCMP responded to a single-vehicle collision on Highway 59, just north of Provincial Road 201.
Police say that an SUV swerved and rolled several times. There were seven female occupants in the SUV, ranging in age from 60 to 81. Four passengers were ejected from the vehicle and a 78-year-old Winnipeg woman was pronounced deceased on scene. The remaining six occupants were all taken to Winnipeg hospital with serious injuries.
RCMP believe that speed was a factor in this collision. An RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
