On November 14, 2016, at approximately 3am, St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 59, near Carriere Road.
Police say that a southbound pickup truck was stationary on Highway 59 when it was rear-ended by a southbound SUV.
The driver and lone occupant of the pickup truck, a 24-year-old Alberta man, was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the SUV, a 16-year-old male from Ile-des-ChĂȘnes, along with two 16-year-old male passengers, one from Ile-des-ChĂȘnes, the other from St. Adolphe, were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
RCMP report that alcohol is considered a factor in this collision. Police also note that due to fog in the area, visibility was reduced and is also considered a factor.
