A 53-year-old man from the RM of Ste. Anne has recently died after being struck by a vehicle on Road 40 East.
On June 28, 2020, at approximately 10:55pm, Steinbach RCMP responded to a collision involving a vehicle and pedestrian at a location on Road 40 East, just north of Highway 1 in the RM of Ste. Anne.
Police investigation determined that a vehicle was traveling south on Road 40 East, when it collided with a pedestrian that was walking on the west side of the gravel road.
RCMP report that the pedestrian, a 53-year-old man from the RM of Ste. Anne, was pronounced deceased at the scene. There were no injuries to the driver of the vehicle, a 17-year-old male youth from the RM of Ste. Anne.
Steinbach RCMP along with a Traffic Analyst, continue to investigate this incident.
