Following a recent public outreach, seeking information about Charlene Ward’s murder, RCMP Historical Case Unit investigators visited the scene of the November 1, 2007, homicide in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba.
“While no arrests have been made in relation to her death, I can say that Charlene’s murder is being actively investigated by multiple investigators within the Historical Case Unit,” said Sgt. Dan Barnabe of the Manitoba RCMP’s Historical Case Unit. “We know that someone has information that can assist us in finding Charlene’s killer. We are renewing our plea for assistance from the public. This is the time to come forward and to share what you know about Charlene’s last day.”
