RCMP have arrested two individuals from Winnipeg in connection to numerous thefts that had occurred in the RM of Headingley over a short period of time.
On January 20, 2021, as a result of an ongoing investigation, officers from the Headingley/Stonewall Detachment, with assistance from the East District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team (CREST), executed a search warrant at a residence located in the City of Winnipeg. The search was in relation to numerous thefts reported in the RM of Headingley area over a short period of time.
Police say that the search of the property uncovered numerous stolen items including two motorcycles, a covered utility trailer and various power tools and equipment.
RCMP report that on February 9, 2021, two individuals were arrested in relation to this search warrant. 27-year-old Aaron Lavallee and 27-year-old Jessica Hammond, both from Winnipeg, were remanded into custody on numerous theft and drug related charges.
