Due to a recent scam, Steinbach RCMP would like to advise local restaurant owners to be careful with taking orders by email.
RCMP received information that multiple restaurants in Steinbach were possibly the target of a recent email scam. Police are advising restaurants that any orders received by email with a request to send out money, to not reply to the email but rather contact the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501.
