The City of Steinbach is reminding the public that businesses continue to remain open on along Brandt Street within the current construction zone – First Street to Lumber Avenue.
During construction, City officials recommend accessing businesses from side streets off of Giesbrecht where feasible. Alternatively, southbound traffic on Brandt can make a right turn to access the closed side of Brandt to access the business parking lots.
Motorists are reminded that they should access the closed side of Brandt Street from the closest street north of the business they want to access to. Left turns off of Brandt Street are not permitted during construction.
The City also asks that motorists travel at reduced speeds and use caution in this area.
