Flin Flon RCMP recently seized a quantity of drugs, cash and a weapon as the result of a vehicle stop within the city. The driver of the vehicle was arrested and charged as a result of the incident.
On October 7, 2021, at approximately 5:20pm, an RCMP officer on patrol observed a male driving in the City of Flin Flon. The officer recognized the driver and was aware that he currently had an outstanding warrant of arrest for failing to appear in court. As a result a traffic stop was conducted the driver was placed under arrest.
During the arrest the male suspect was searched and found to be in possession of a knife, a quantity of crack cocaine and Canadian currency. Subsequently the vehicle was searched and officers located and seized a large quantity of Canadian currency, approximately 21 grams of cocaine and other drug paraphernalia.
RCMP report that 57-year-old Paul McIntryre of Schist Lake has been charged with several offences including possession for the purpose of trafficking. He was also issued several fines under the Highway Traffic Act.
