Manitobans are reminded that an Alert Ready public awareness test message is scheduled to take place across the province on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 1:55pm.
On Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 1:55pm, Manitoba Infrastructure’s Emergency Measures Organization (EMO) will be sending an emergency alert test message through Alert Ready, Canada’s emergency alerting system.
An Alert Ready public awareness test message that includes compatible cell phones and smartphones will be broadcast for the first time today, May 9, at 1:55pm.
As part of the expansion of the national public alerting system, Alert Ready, compatible wireless devices on long-term evolution (LTE) networks in Manitoba will be able to receive emergency alert messages as of April 6, 2018.

The City of Steinbach will be sending out a test message to residents using the Steinbach Alert Now Emergency Notification System on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, between 5pm and 6pm.
The Manitoba Emergency Measures Organization of Manitoba Infrastructure reports Alert Ready, the national emergency alert system, will send out a province-wide test message over TV and radio today, Sept. 21, 2016 at 3:55pm.
