Two RCMP Internet Child Exploitation Unit investigations, dating back to early 2017, have led to the arrest of a Churchill and Flin Flon man.

On May 5, 2018, Churchill RCMP executed a search warrant under the Criminal Code of Canada and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a residence located on Radisson Street in the community of Churchill, Manitoba.

Steinbach MLA and Health, Seniors and Active Living Minister Kelvin Goertzen, announced that the Manitoba government is increasing the Affordable Food in Remote Manitoba retail subsidy rate to $1.60 per kilogram for milk, infant formula, and fresh fruit and vegetables in Churchill.
