New Manitoba public health orders have made mask use mandatory at indoor public places and set out the circumstances where proof of vaccination will be required, which will enable businesses, services and events to be held without capacity limits or public health restrictions as of Sept. 3.

The current five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 2.4 per cent provincially and 1.5 per cent in Winnipeg. As of 9:30am on September 2, 2021, 127 new cases of the virus have been identified since Monday: 34 cases on Tuesday, Aug. 31; 57 cases on Wednesday, Sept. 1 and 36 cases today. Fifteen cases have been removed due to data correction bringing the total number of lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba to 58,793.

The current five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is three per cent provincially and 1.6 per cent in Winnipeg. As of 9:30am on August 30, 2021, 213 new cases of the virus have been identified since Thursday: 31 cases on Friday, Aug. 27; 102 cases on Saturday, Aug. 28; 46 cases on Sunday, Aug. 29; and 34 cases today, Monday, Aug. 30.

Manitoba is expanding the vaccine passport benefit for fully immunized individuals that will enable businesses, services and events to be available without capacity limits or public health restrictions as of Sept. 3. As well, public indoor mask requirements begin Aug. 28.

The current five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 2.8 per cent provincially and 1.5 per cent in Winnipeg. As of 9:30am on August 26, 2021, 201 new cases of the virus have been identified since Monday: 40 cases on Tuesday, Aug. 24; 105 cases Wednesday, Aug. 25; and 56 today. Five cases have been removed due to data corrections, bringing the total number of lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba to 58,479.

The Manitoba government is extending the state of emergency in efforts to continue to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and variants. The extension went into effect Tuesday, Aug. 24 at 4pm and will stay in place for a period of 30 days.

The Manitoba government will require all provincial employees who work with vulnerable populations to be fully immunized for COVID-19 by Oct. 31, or undergo regular testing. In addition, the province will put indoor mask requirements in place across Manitoba in the coming days, including in schools.

The current five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 2.3 per cent provincially and 1.4 per cent in Winnipeg. As of 9:30am on August 23, 2021, 153 new cases of the virus have been identified since Thursday of last week. Eight cases have been removed due to data correction, bringing the total number of lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba to 58,283.

The current five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 1.9 per cent provincially and 1.4 per cent in Winnipeg. As of 9:30am on August 19, 2021, 88 new cases of the virus have been identified since Monday: 24 cases on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 37 cases Wednesday, Aug. 18 and 27 today. Three cases have been removed due to data corrections, bringing the total number of lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba to 58,134.

The first set of winners have been drawn in the province’s Vax to Win lottery, and their decision to be vaccinated and protect themselves and their community against COVID-19 has resulted in each of them winning $100,000.
