The current five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 9.6 per cent provincially and 11.3 per cent in Winnipeg. As of 9:30 a.m. today, 502 new cases of the virus have been identified. However, four cases have been removed due to data correction. This brings the net-new number of cases today to 498 and the total number of lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba to 40,940.

The Manitoba government is launching a new Manitoba Pandemic Sick Leave program to provide direct financial assistance to help fill gaps between federal programming and current provincial employment standards for paid sick leave.

The current five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 9.1 per cent provincially and 10.4 per cent in Winnipeg. As of 9:30am on May 6, 2021, 363 new cases of the virus have been identified. However, six cases have been removed due to data correction. This brings the net-new number of cases today to 357 and the total number of lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba to 40,442.

Manitoba continues to make progress in the largest immunization campaign in the province’s history, as more than 500,000 doses have been administered and more than 40 per cent of people aged 18 and older have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

However, one case has been removed due to data correction. This brings the net-new number of cases today to 271 and the total number of lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba to 40,085. 

A total of 112 warnings and 58 tickets were issued for the week of April 26 to May 2, including 42 $1,296 tickets to individuals for various offences, 12 $298 tickets to individuals for failure to wear a mask in indoor public places and four $5,000 tickets to businesses.

However, one case has been removed due to data correction. This brings the net-new number of cases today to 290 and the total number of lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba to 39,814.

The Manitoba government continues to take strong action to protect Manitobans and advises that personnel empowered to enforce public health orders were present at rallies in Winnipeg and Winkler this past weekend and collected video evidence in support of ticketing for non-compliance with public health orders.

The current five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is eight per cent provincially and 8.7 per cent in Winnipeg. As of 9:30am on May 3, 2021, 251 new cases of the virus have been identified. However, one case has been removed due to data correction. This brings the net-new number of cases today to 250 and the total number of lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba to 39,524.

The province has announced that all Indigenous people in Manitoba, over the age of 18, including First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples, are now eligible to make appointments to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
