A 24-year-old Winnipeg man has been arrested and is facing multiple charges, including uttering threats, in connection to a recent incident involving an 18-year-old male in the Rural Municipality of St. Clements, Manitoba.

Steinbach RCMP are reporting that numerous firearms, as well as the handgun used in a recent shooting incident, have been seized. The incident is part of an ongoing investigation involving the recent shooting of a 31-year-old man from the Rural Municipality of Ste. Anne, Manitoba.

Steinbach MLA and Justice Minister Kelvin Goertzen, announced that Provincial and territorial justice ministers, from across the country will meet with the federal justice minister virtually next week, where Manitoba will focus on priority issues including the extension of the Guns and Gangs Violence Action Fund (GGVAF), expansion to the First Nations and Inuit Policing Program (FNIPP) and Legal Aid.
